Set the data format to ASCII in your application.

My

printer does not respond properly to my PC using a serial

connection.

•

Make sure all cables are connected and seated properly.
See “Connecting to the Serial Port” in chapter 2.

•

Make sure the correct Adobe PostScript printer driver and
your printer’s PPD are installed and configured properly.
See “Adobe PostScript Printer Drivers” in chapter 4.

•

Make sure the parallel port is enabled on the printer. See
“Interface Control” in chapter 6.

•

Make sure the printer is on line. See “Interface Control” in
chapter 6.

•

Make sure communication settings in your application,
printer, and PC match. See “Interface Control” in chapter 6.

•

Make sure the previous job has been cleared from the
printer by sending an end-of-job marker using the D.PS
file. See “PS_Files Folder” in chapter 4.

•
