Preparing the reagents
6.5.1
Preparing the reagent solution C
Fill 0.5 L deionized water (dist. H2O) into the container with the
"Reagent C" label and close the container with the screw cap. Shake
the container vigorously to dissolve the solids. Stored in a cool place,
the solution is stable for approx. two months.
6.5.2
Preparing the cleaning solution (NaOH)
The cleaning solution consists of an aqueous sodium hydroxide/
Na
2
EDTA solution.
Caution corrosive
Causes severe corrosion. Do not allow this substance to get into the
hands of children. If this substance gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly
with water and consult a doctor.
Warning
Improper handling of sodium hydroxide and its aqueous solutions can
lead to blindness or to severe eye and skin irritations.
Only specially trained personnel are allowed to prepare reagents!
Follow the safety datasheets and instructions when handling
hazardous materials.
Always use the proper safety equipment!
