12. BE SURE TO STAND SECURELY
Always pay attention to your balance during work.
13. MAINTAIN YOUR MACHINE CAREFULLY
In order to achieve the best possible safety and performance make sure that
machines are sharpened and clean.
14. PULL OUT THE POWER PLUG
Before maintenance, cleaning or the replacement of parts, the machine must be
disconnected from the power source.
15. AVOID UNINTENDED START-UPS
When you plug in the cord, make sure that the ON/OFF switch is switched off.
16. USE ONLY APPROPRIATE ACCESSORIES
Inform yourself about recommended accessories in your operating manual. Observe
and follow the corresponding instructions. The use of inappropriate accessories can
cause hazards.
17. NEVER STAND ON A MACHINE
If the machine tips over, serious injuries can result. Therefore, never store materials at
a height that requires you to climb on top of a machine.
18. CHECK DAMAGED PARTS
Before the further use of a machine, the damaged safety devices or other damaged
parts should be checked carefully for their flawless function. Also check the condition
and fit of connecting or moving parts for their functional serviceability. Non-
functioning or poorly functioning parts and safety devices must be duly repaired or
replaced.
19. NEVER LEAVE A RUNNING MACHINE UNATTENDED
Switch the machine off. Never go away from the machine before it has come to a
complete stop.
20. DRUGS, ALCOHOL AND MEDICATION
Never operate machines when under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or if you have
taken medication.
21. Check the mains connection cable at regular intervals for damage like e.g. tears or
ageing. If you notice any damage, this cable must be replaced by an expert prior
