Loading, Turning, And Clamping Logs

Setup & Operation

1.

Use a cant hook to spin the log against the side supports until it is turned the way you want it for the first cut.

To Clamp Logs

1.

Position the clamps against the log, far enough down so they are below your cuts on a given side of the log.
Using the clamp handles move the log firmly against the side supports.

See Figure 3-10.

2.

Make sure the side supports are positioned low enough for the blade to pass over them. If they are not, back
the clamps off slightly and push the side supports down until they are positioned below the height of your last
cut on a given side of the log.
