h. Confirm that you shut down the right node by checking that its front and back LEDs are off.

2. Disconnect all the cables from the System Node.
3. Remove all of the drives from the front of the System Node. For more information, refer to the section

Removing a System Node drive

on page 32.

4. Unscrew the thumb screws on the front of the System Node. From this point, the removal procedure

for the System Node differs based on the mounting kit used.

(1U mounting kit only, skip for 3U

mounting kits)

Grasp the System Node and pull with even pressure until the System Node will not

extend further.

(1U mounting kit only, skip for 3U mounting kits)

Unlatch the System Node from the rack.

a. Locate the release lever on the side of the System Node.

b. Press the latch release levers toward the front of the System Node. The System Node is now free

from the rack and can be fully removed.
