provide extended range. Turbo mode provides full motor output power, at the expense of
battery power and reduced range.
You may propel the M-750 solely with the motor, or you may pedal the M-750 with or
without motor assist. We recommend that you initially pedal the bicycle from a
standing start without applying the throttle until you reach a speed of 2 or 3 miles
per hour. This will reduces the load on the battery and will result in extending the
range of the bike under electric power. If you feel a slight vibration coming from the
motor when first accelerating from a stop; this is the motor finding its position and should
disappear after the first twenty feet.
Other than throttling the motor and the dragging sensation of regenerative braking, the
M-750 functions like any ordinary multi-speed bicycle. However, keep in mind the high
speeds the motor can produce, and take extra caution when using the electric power.
Additionally, the standard M-750 with hub battery and motor weighs almost 65 pounds and
will handle differently than most standard bicycles. Keep this in mind as you are learning to
ride your M-750. Give yourself time to get used to the extra weight and increased speed
before riding in higher traffic areas.
Dashboard
The M-750 dashboard (see Figure 11 and Figure 12) has pressure-sensitive buttons for
turning battery power on and off, selecting Economy and Turbo modes, and engaging and
disengaging Cruise Control. The dashboard also has a LED display for battery
state-of-charge for two batteries, LED indicators for Turbo, Cruise Control, and Regenerative
Braking modes, and an anti-tamper key.
