Problem Possible
Cause
Remedy
Battery needs
charging.
Connect the battery charger to the battery and
verify that the LED on the charger is either
flashing yellow (indicating charge balancing) or
steady green (indicating full charge). If not,
fully charge the battery and then try to turn on
the bicycle.
Bicycle does not
turn on.
Communications
or power is faulty.
If battery is fully charged, disconnect and
carefully reconnect all wiring harness
connections at the front and rear of the bicycle,
ensuring that the connections are properly
aligned and mated.
If bicycle still fails to turn on, take the bicycle to
your local TidalForce dealer for checkout/repair.
Motor cut out has
not reset.
Reboot motor as follows:
1.
Ensure battery power is turned off at
dashboard.
2.
Disconnect wiring harness connectors at
front and rear of bicycle.
3.
Wait at least 30 seconds for residual
electrical power in motor to dissipate.
4.
Reconnect wiring harness connectors at
front and rear of bicycle.
5.
Turn on battery power at dashboard and
apply throttle.
NOTE: Although the motor can be
rebooted by simply disconnecting
battery power, it is best to disconnect
all wiring harness connectors in case
there is a fault in the wiring harness
that may be causing the problem.
Motor does not run.
Motor has
malfunctioned.
Take bicycle to dealer for checkout/repair.
