Battery shuts down
intermittently in
cold weather.
Normal operation
Due to the battery’s cell chemistry, extreme cold
weather temperatures (0°C or 32°F and below)
may hinder the battery’s full operating capacity.
If the battery is stored in cold weather
temperatures, bring the battery into normal
room temperature for several hours before use.
If battery problems occur due to cold weather
while operating the bicycle, riding in Economy
mode (non-turbo) may support the battery’s
performance. The battery will return to full
power in warmer temperatures.
Motor torque
(drive) drops out
intermittently.
Stuck or
misadjusted
brakes.
When activated, either brake lever cuts out
(shuts off) the motor to engage regenerative
braking. However, if the motor fails to turn back
on, check to ensure that either brake is not
stuck, and that both brakes are adjusted
correctly (fully releasing).
Low battery
capacity.
In some instances, you may experience a slight
decrease in speed while operating in cruise
control. If speed declines slowly while in cruise
control, it is a normal occurrence attributed to
the bicycle’s motor and battery warming up.
If cruise control does not hold speed at all, or
drastically decreases speed while activated,
check battery capacity to make sure it is
charged.
Bicycle cannot hold
speed in cruise
control.
Cruise control is
faulty.
If battery is fully charged and cruise control still
cannot hold speed, take the bicycle to your local
TidalForce dealer for checkout/repair.
