It may be necessary to extend the supplied flue to ensure the flue outlet position (top of flue
terminal) complies with the combustion appliance and fuel storage systems directive of current
local building regulations. If an additional length of flue and fittings are used, manufacturer’s
instructions for correct fastening, support and access for cleaning must be followed.
NOTE – An extended flue may result in a requirement for more frequent servicing and flue
cleaning, therefore operating costs may be higher. Refer to Section 3.4.3.
If the flue terminal is to be within 2.3 meters of adjacent walls or surfaces, please refer to Figure
67 – this is provided for guidance only.
