Replacing the air filter
Notice
Air filter elements degrade prematurely when in service in acidic
air for longer periods of time.
►
This risk is present, for example, in acid production facilities,
steel and aluminium mills, chemical plants and other
nonferrous-metal plants.
►
Replace the air filter elements according to the dirt indicator,
every 1000 s/h or once a year at the latest.
1. Stop and park the machine. Stop the engine. See “Preparing
lubrication”.
2. Remove the starting key and carry it with you.
3. Open the engine cover.
4. Remove dirt and dust from the air filter housing and the area around it.
5. Fold bow clips A on lower housing section B to the outside.
6. Remove the lower housing section B .
7. Carefully remove outside filter C with slightly turning movements.
8. Ensure that all dirt (dust) inside the upper and lower housing sections,
including the dust valve, has been removed.
9. Clean the parts with a clean lint-free cloth, do not use compressed air.
10.Carefully remove inside filter D with slightly turning movements.
11.Check the new inside filter D and outside filter C for damage and
carefully insert them in the housing section.
12.Position the lower housing section B .
13.Close bow clips A .
14.Press button C to reset the red mark B .
15.Close and lock the engine cover.
Information
Ensure that dust valve E shows downward once it is installed.
