SEQUENCE OF OPERATION
1.
Conditions
A.
Correct voltage to oven.
B.
Fuse is good.
C.
Building Circuit breakers closed.
D.
Thermal cut outs closed.
E.
Door closed.
F.
Product in oven.
2.
When first energized, the display will show two
rows of lighted blocks for about 10 seconds.
3.
Display shows “Select Clock Time.” The unit
will not respond or work until the clock has
been set.
NOTE: If power is removed from the unit for
approximately five minutes or longer, steps 2 and 3
will occur when power is reapplied and clock has to
be reset.
4.
Display shows time of day clock indicating
power is applied to the control. Pressing
ON/OFF key will turn the clock display on and
off.
5.
Combi Cook, Menu Cook or user programmed
setting is selected.
A.
Combi Cook.
1)
Enter cook time and power levels.
2)
Press START key.
B.
Menu Cook.
1)
Select food category, type and size.
2)
Press START key.
C.
User programmed setting.
1)
Press one of the 12 storage location
keys containing user defined settings.
6.
Cook cycle begins.
A.
Control board automatically performs
voltage compensation and thermal
compensation if required.
B.
Damper door motor relay RY6 will
energize to close damper door.
C.
Relay RY4 vent fan motor energizes, relay
RY3 blower motor relay energizes, relay
RY5 magnetron fan and turntable motor
relay energizes. Fans run and turntable
rotates in either direction.
D.
Halogen lamp power and microwave
power are controlled by control board
depending on signals received from
thermistor and cooking controls.
1)
Lamps and magnetron are energized.
a.
Relays RY20 and RY21 for lower
lamps, and relays RY19 and
RY22 for upper front lamp
energize and lamps start.
Approximately 2 seconds later
relays RY18 and RY23 energize
and upper rear lamp starts.
b.
Relay RY2 energizes and
powers magnetron.
c.
Lamps and magnetron cycle on
32 second duty cycle. (See page
6 for explanation)
E.
Cook cycle timer counts down.
7.
If door is opened, the cook cycle pauses.
(Closing and pressing START resumes cooking
cycle)
A.
Relays for lamps, magnetron and turntable
de-energize.
B.
Fans remain running if unit requires to be
cooled down.
C.
Cook cycle timer stops.
8.
If cook cycle times out or if CLEAR key is
pressed, cook cycle stops and resets cook
cycle timer.
A.
Relays for lamps, magnetron and turntable
de-energize.
B.
Beeper sounds and continues until door is
opened.
C.
Fans run as long as control board senses
a need to cool unit down. Can run up to 1
minute.
1)
If ON/OFF key is pressed, the display
and fans stop immediately.
9.
Oven reverts back to conditions in step 4.
10. Press Micro Express.
A.
Magnetron relay RY2 and fan relay RY4,
magnetron fan and turntable relay RY5
energize. Note that turntable rotates in
either direction.
B.
Damper door motor relay RY6 will
energize to open damper door if it was
closed.
C.
Magnetron operates at power level 10.
D.
Display shows cycle timer counting down
from 30 seconds.
E.
Each additional press of the Micro Express
key adds 30 more seconds.
11. Door open “pause” and end of cycle operate
same as above.
NOTE: Micro Express and the 12 storage location
keys will not respond if the door is open.
