ELECTRICAL OPERATION
COMPONENT FUNCTION
FUSE . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Rated 20A. Protects magnetron circuit and prevents circuit
operation when fuse is blown.
FAN MOTORS (4) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Upper and lower halogen fans only run during combi cook
operations. Both fans direct the air across the halogen lamps. The
magnetron fan moves air across the magnetron to cool it when it is
in use. This fan pulls hot exhaust air from the lower halogen lamp
and maintains air movement in surrounding areas for proper
cooling.
NOTE: All four fans will run during the entire combi cook operation.
THERMAL CUT OUTS (TCO) . . . . . . . . .
Protects oven from overheating. Monitors temperature in upper
lamp housing and in lower lamp housing, controls box base,
magnetron, and oven cavity.
The cavity TCO opens at 302
(
F nonresetable and must be
replaced with a new one.
Halogen TCOs (3) open at 293

replaced with a new one.
Magnetron TCO opens at 302

BUZZER . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Produces signal when cook time has expired.
DOOR SWITCHES . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Prevent oven from operating with door open.
RELAY BOARD . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Receives control inputs from the control board which in turn
activate and deactivate relays on the relay board (turning the
halogen lamps on and off as required).
CONTROL BOARD . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Contains software and other components used to control the cook
cycles.
KEYPAD . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Allows information to be sent by operator to the control board.
DISPLAY . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Displays information needed by the customer to operate the oven.
THERMISTOR . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Signals the control board the temperature in the cavity. The control
board then keeps the fans running as needed at the end of a cook
cycle (up to approximately 1 minute). Also provides information to
adjust cooking parameters based on oven temperature. Can turn
oven off if temperature reaches between 600
(
F and 700
(
F.
DIODE . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Allows current to flow in one direction and in conjunction with the
high voltage capacitor provides the high voltage to the magnetron.
CAPACITOR - HIGH VOLTAGE . . . . . . .
Holds charge from high voltage transformer, then releases same
charge to the magnetron every half cycle.
TRANSFORMER - HIGH VOLTAGE . . .
Takes line input voltage and steps up voltage for use as magnetron
voltage.
TRANSFORMER - LOW VOLTAGE . . . .
Takes line input voltage and steps down voltage to operating
voltage for components on the control board.
TURNTABLE MOTOR . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Turns turntable inside oven.
CAVITY LAMP . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Illuminates oven cavity when oven door is opened.
DAMPER DOOR MOTOR . . . . . . . . . . . .
Moves damper door to open or close off air from the damper
chamber to the oven cavity. During microwave cooking the damper
door is fully open allowing air to travel through and around the
magnetron tube and into the oven cavity. During combi cook, the
door rotates into the damper chamber, closing off air flow from the
magnetron fan into the cavity. In doing so, the heat from the oven
interior is contained in the oven cavity.
Door is opened when; oven is not in use and time of day clock
shows on display, oven door is opened during a cycle (this allows
cavity lamp to illuminate the oven interior), microwave cooking (at
