Power module D9/D11/D12/D16
The power module monitors power supply to the con-
trol unit, the EVC system (on D2, also exhaust tem-
perature sensor and sea water pressure sensor).
If the power module is connected to a backup bat-
tery group, the unit automatically chooses the battery
group with the highest voltage. The unit is equipped
with a fully automatic circuit breaker function, which
cuts the current if overloaded.
Main switch
A main battery switch should be installed on the
positive side. The bulkhead transitions for both the
positive and negative cables must be provided with
grommets. Position the main switch outside the en-
gine room but as close to the engine as possible, to
reduce cable length.

NOTE! If the engine is stopped the starter motor
does not automatically switch over to backup battery
group.
The connection for back up battery is located on the
right hand side of the engine below the start motor.
It is a two-pole connection marked "" and "2" where
"" is positive and "2" is negative. The wires to the
connection are red and black, where red is positive
and black is negative.
If the back-up power functionality is not needed, the
power module can be left unconnected.
