Urgent message
Message List Menu Commands
When you select a message from the New Messages or Read Messages lists, the
following menu commands are available:
Command Description
Open Message Opens the message so you can read it.
Delete Message Erases the message from the smartphone and from the
Vocera server.
Archive Message Saves the message and prevents it from being
automatically deleted. You are limited to 20 text
messages at a time, and you can save up to 10 of these
messages. Saved messages are maintained on the
server until you delete them. They are not affected by
scheduled sweeps of the server.
Unarchive Message Allows the message to be automatically deleted by
scheduled sweeps of the server.
Back Returns to the Vocera Apps screen.
Read Messages Tab / New
Messages Tab Displays the other message list.
Text Message Prompts and Alert Tones
When your smartphone receives a text message of normal or high priority, it
plays an alert tone and then prompts you whether to open the message. The
alert tone is different for normal and high priority messages.
