AEC Calibration – Sedecal Generator
Calibration Setup:
1.
Ensure Jumper was installed in the Generator on the AEC adaptation board TB1-7 to TB1-10
2.
Set the x-ray system, to the following conditions:
a
SID = 72 in.
b
Tube centered to the detector. Verify center with the collimator light source. Open collimator to
17” x 17”.
c
Verify that the Grid is in place inside the bucky
d
Place
15 cm
thick of
Plexiglas/Lexan
for full attenuation of panel. If no Lexan available, use 6”
water in a bucket.

Select the “
Options
” button from the acquisition screen.
4.
Verify the Bit mode is selected for 16 bits.
5.
Double click on the
icon in the upper right hand corner to display the “
Developer
” tab.
6.
Select “
Developer
” tab on the far right side.
7.
Change to a “true” statement in “
Show pixel value
” half way down the list.
8.
Select “
Post Processing
” tab and *note all selected. De-select all Post processing.
9.
Select Apply. Now you should see the Pixel value in the upper left hand corner of the image.
10.
Make a 70kv, 320mA, 400ms center cell photo-timed exposure.
11.
Adjust *“E04” in extended memory for a pixel value of 650 to 750.
12.
Make an Exposure at 120kv, 320mA, 400ms and verify tracking within limits of 70kv exposure.
13.
Adjust *“E08” in extended memory to adjust tracking between 70kv and 120kv.
