To avoid risk of electrical shock, personal injury, or death, disconnect electrical power source to unit, unless test
procedures require power to be connected. Discharge capacitor through a resistor before attempting to service.
Ensure all ground wires are connected before certifying unit as repaired and/or operational.
Temperature Sensor (RTD) Removal
(VGSC530 and VGSC548 Right Oven)
Condition Requirements:
Door Assembly Removed
Control Components Accessed
Back Panel Removed
Note:
The RTD on the VGSC530 and VGSC548 right
oven does not have a connector between the
sensor and the oven control.
1. Disconnect RTD connector from oven control.
2. Route RTD wires through burner box area and out
back of range.
3. Remove any wire ties as required.
4. Remove two screws and sensor from the oven liner.
5. Reverse procedure for installation.

Back Panel Removed
Note:
The RTD on the VGSC536 has a connector
between the sensor and the oven control.
1. Find the RTD connector in the burner box area and
disconnect connector.
2. Remove any wire ties as required.
3. Remove two screws and sensor from the oven liner.
4. Reverse procedure for installation.
