4 Packaging and transport
4.1 Packing the machine
The machine must be properly packed in order to transport it safely. The machine manufacturer rec-
ommends you to transport it in the type of packaging which is used to transport it from the factory.
4.2 Transporting the machine
NOTICE
Always ensure that the machine remains horizontal and is not tilted! Please contact the VC999
Customer Service Department if the machine was tilted or fell over during transportation!
4.3 Unpacking the machine
NOTICE
Always maintain the machine in a horizontal position!
The procedure for unpacking the machine is as follows:
1.
Move the packed machine as close as possible to the installation site. For more information on this,
read the sub-section "Criteria for the installation site" in the next section, "Setting up the machine".
2. Remove the packing and check that the entire consignment is complete, cross-checking with the
delivery papers. Also check for any signs of shipping damage.
3. If the machine has suffered shipping damage, contact the forwarding agent and the machine sup-
plier immediately. The address and contact numbers of the machine manufacturer are contained in
the "Introduction".
NOTICE
If the machine is damaged, hold onto all the packaging materials and await further instructions!
4. Lift the machine off the pallet with the help of a fork lift. Two entry points are provided on the base
of the machine for this task.
5. Place the machine in its final place of installation.
The packaging and transport elements are the correct size for the machine and we recommend you to
store them in a dry place for any future transport.
