not turn on

automatically.

Remote door/window switch is

holding SMART 3000 in OFF mode.

Close windows/door. Check

terminals DS and WC are

continuous with terminal COM.

PIR sensor malfunction

Check that terminal PIR is

continuous with terminal COM.

Replace if needed.

Heating or

cooling runs in

deadband.

SMART 3000 incorrectly set to HP

mode.
SMART 3000 keeps reversing valve

energized after heating/cooling has

stopped to limit decompression

noise from AC system.

Set Sw2 = OFF and retest

heating and cooling operation.

Compressor and reversing valve

wiring crossed in HP mode (Sw2

= ON).

Check C, R, W and Y for correct

connections.

SMART 3000

has no display.

Power failure or faulty SMART 3000 Check for 24V AC on the R and C

terminals.
