Protective functions
In the situations below, RF output drops or is shut off (automatic recovery) and RF output stops after
the set amount of time or the set number of times.

Contents
FWD
Pf droop Controls traveling wave power if traveling wave power exceeds rated output.
REF
Pf droop Controls reflected wave power if reflected wave power exceeds rated output.
RF shut
off
Traveling wave power is shut off when the above continues for 30 seconds or more.
OC
Pf droop Controls traveling wave power if the RF amplifier's current exceeds the rated value.
OV
Pf droop Controls traveling wave power if the RF amplifier's applied voltage exceeds the rated
value.
VPP
Pf droop Controls traveling wave power if the matching box's output terminal voltage exceeds
the rated value.
ARC
Pf shut off Shuts off traveling wave power if the reflected wave power momentarily exceeds the
rated value, then after pausing for a fixed time, automatically recovers.
INTLOCK RF OFF Stops traveling wave power when the external interlock operates.
ALARM RF OFF Stops traveling wave power when overheating, the fan air volume decreases, the
cooling water volume decreases, RF amplifier output is unbalanced, the cover is open,
the main fuse is blown, or the DC portion malfunctions.
When a malfunction or error below occurs, a buzzer will sound and RF output stops. ALARM on the
control panel also illuminates in red, an error message is displayed on the screen, and the monitor signal is
externally output. This situation will continue until the problem is resolved and the RESET key (RF OFF) or
RESET signal is input. RF can be output again with the RF ON signal after resetting.
