PREPARING DRIP-FED COFFEE
(Fig. 2ª - 6ª)
1. Fill the tank (9) with cold water. A quantity of less
than two cups is not recommended.
2. Open the filter holder as shown in: (figure 1)
3. Place the permanent filter (8) into the filter holder
(7). Put in one tablespoonful of coffee for each cup
of water.
Note:
• This coffee maker can also be used with nº 1x4
paper filters.
• For correct operation, do not use coffee with
too fine a grind.
4. Place the jug (2), with its lid fitted, on to the hot
plate (1), plug the coffee maker into the mains and
press the switch (5) (figure 4). The pilot lamp
indicates that the coffee maker is working.
A cup of coffee can be served before the brew cycle
has finished. Whenever the jug is removed from the
hot plate, the drip feed will stop temporarily. Place
the jug back on the hot plate within 20 seconds.
NOTE: To keep the taste of drip-fed coffee constant,
we recommend that the drip-feed and espresso
coffee maker modes should not be used
simultaneously
PREPARING ESPRESSO
(Fig. 7 - 17)
1. Plug the appliance into the mains and make sure
that the ON/OFF switch (10) is off and that the steam
regulator (11) is closed.
2. Fill the water tank (9) with cold water (fig. 2)
3. This coffee maker is equipped with a BARCREAM
device (19) which fits inside the filter holder. This
disc ensures that creamy coffee is produced. (fig. 7)
Due to the way it works, you will see a small amount
of residual water inside the filter.
Place the BARCREAM disc into the filter holder. Fill
the filter using the coffee scoop (1 measure = 1 cup
- 2 measures = 2 cups) and place it inside the filter
holder on top of the BARCREAM disc.
Clean away any coffee that might be around the edge
of the filter holder.
