Passenger Seat
Warning
The rider's seat is only correctly
retained and supported once the
passenger seat is correctly fitted.
Never ride the motorcycle with the
passenger seat detached or removed,
as the front seat will not be secure and
may move.
A loose or detached seat could cause
loss of motorcycle control and an
accident.
Warning
To prevent detachment of the seat
during riding, after fitting always grasp
the seat and pull firmly upwards.
If the seat is not correctly secured, it
will detach from the lock.
A loose or detached seat could cause
loss of motorcycle control and an
accident.
The seat lock is located on the rear
mudguard, below the rear light unit.

Seat lock
To remove the passenger seat:
• Insert the ignition key into the seat
lock.
• Turn the ignition key anticlockwise
while pressing down on the rear of
the seat. This will release the seat
from its lock and allow it to be slid
rearwards.
• If equipped with heated seats, dis-
connect the heated seat’s electrical
connector for complete removal
from the motorcycle.
