SNMP

As of J-Series Firmware V3.1, SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is supported.
The J-Series SNMP Interface supports:

•Supports RFC1213 (Unit name, Unit Location, Firmware, Uptime, etc)

•Supports Radio and Ethernet Diagnostics (as seen in the HTML Diagnostics overview)

•SNMP V1 & V2c

Note: A future firmware release will enhance the SNMP capability by adding the facility for SNMP traps.

MIB Files

Distributed with the J-Series firmware are three MIB files which provide structure definitions for the SNMP objects. The MIB are suitable for

importing into most common SNMP browsers including Castle Rock. Definitions for each SNMP object are noted as comments in the MIB files.

Only a summary of these objects are noted in this user manual.

Implementation of multiple use objects

Some SNMP objects such as Tx Power need to be separately reported in dual antenna bridge mode. To achieve this but to keep the .MIB files

common for all modes of operation (access point, single and dual antenna bridges, and remotes) the object is provided as a table. The first cell in

the table represents the value associated with Antenna 1. The second cell in the table represents the for Antenna 2. This should be noted when

importing the .MIB files into your SNMP management package.
