Water Overflow Drain Line Connection (Optional)
The water overflow device prevents flooding of the fountain tank from rain accumulation. It is
located in the tub and has a 5/8” hose barb that protrudes below the tub for connection to a
5/8” drain hose.
If there is adequate drainage under and surrounding the fountain enclosure, this connection
can be left to drain in place. Otherwise, follow the below instructions to connect a drain line.
1. Purchase adequate length of 5/8” water hose so as to locate the outlet of the drain hose away
from the immediate area of the fountain in a suitable location.
2. Also purchase a 5/8” stainless steel hose clamp to secure the drain hose to the hose barb of the
overflow device.
3. Connect the hose to the hose barb and secure it with the hose clamp.
4. Set the drain hose away from the fountain in a suitable location, preferably to the house sewer
line or drain field.
