Auto-shutdown function

The auto-shutdown feature shuts down the OS and turns off the power. The auto-
shutdown function is available on Windows NT and Windows 2000 only.

Setting the auto-shutdown function

Manually install the auto-shutdown function by installing HarnessEye/web after installing
Windows NT or Windows 2000.

Canceling the auto-shutdown function

Log on as an Administrator (or user having equivalent privileges).

Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, Management Tool, and then Services. Select
ASD. Click Stop.

Make sure that the auto SD/remote status display LED is lit (orange).

NOTE: HarnessEye/web can be installed automatically by using the Quick
Installation procedures available for Windows 2000 or Windows NT using SST.
