HDD status indicators
When the device bay includes hard disk drives, information for each drive is displayed by
the HDD power and status indicators above the device bay.

NOTE: When a status indicator is lit, the corresponding hard disk drive may be
faulty. If defective, replace it. If your system is configured redundant (RAID1,
RAID 5, RAID 10), you can replace the faulty drive without interrupting system
operation.
Shock and vibration can damage hard disk drives, so always handle them carefully.
Installing and replacing a hard disk drive requires special techniques and

When the server is turned off, it takes about 30 seconds for a hard disk drive to stop
completely.
