About Hardware Diagnostics
Hardware (HW) Diagnostics starts a diagnostics test of the server hardware devices. You
can select a single device or a combination of devices to test.
Use the HW Diagnostics Program to:

Check for normal server operation
❖
Check for normal operation of optional devices
❖
Diagnose failures
Not all failures can be detected by the HW Diagnostics Program.
Starting Hardware Diagnostics
To start the Hardware Diagnostic Program:
1 Make sure the HW Diagnostics disk is not write-protected and insert the disk into the
USB floppy drive.
2 Turn on the server.
The HW Diagnostics Program starts.
NOTE: If you have not created the HW Diagnostics Program diskette, do so by
selecting Create Floppy Disks on the Utility Menu and creating the HW
Diagnostics Program disk.
