Programming of Voxell LCR through its line interface
What it is?
You can set up the parameters of the Topex equipment without the OAM program, by simply using
an ordinary telephone, connected to the subscriber port (FXS) of Voxell LCR FXS.
Why is it used?
Sometimes you don’t have a computer available at the location where the unit is operating, or the
OAM program is not installed, or simply you need to set up very quickly just a few parameters of
the Voxell LCR equipment. Also, the USB port of the equipment may be unavailable, so the only
way to program it is using a telephone!
How to do it?
To enter into the mode of programming by phone you must :
- connect an analog telephone, with DTMF capability, to the line(FXS) interface of Voxell
LCR
- dial ##
- dial one of the codes described below.
ATTENTION! If the equipment is waiting for a PIN or PUK code, it cannot enter into programming
mode.
General Rule :
- when the programming is correct, you will hear a tone and you can go to the next step of
programming;
- when the programming is NOT correct (upon error) you will hear no tone. This means that
you must hang up the phone and try again to enter into the programming mode.
So, for each of the parameters to be set up, which are described below, you must first
dial the “##” code, because after each programming the Voxell LCRireturns to the normal
operating state (it waits for digits to route calls, not to be programmed).
Set number of digits
For setting up the number of digits that are waited before sending the numbering to the GSM
module:
- dial : 1xy , where xy is the number of digits that must be waited. The minimum value is
two, while the max value is 20 ; if the number must be less than ten, then x = 0 (for eight digits
you must dial 08, not 8); the default is 20 digits.
Programming of timer loopbreak
- to set up the loopbreak timer, dial : 4xy -> the value of the timer loopbreak is “xy”
multiplied by 40 milliseconds, xy * 40 ms; maximum value for xy = 99; for example: should you
need to set the loopbreak timer to 1 (one) second, you must dial 425.
Programming of enable/disable CLIR :
- to enable: you dial 201
- to disable (the default state): you dial 200. By default the call ID restriction is disabled,
which means that Voxell LCR send out caller ID
