6 Hygiene

6.2.4.1 Pre-cleaning

. Disconnect the device from the mains power in standby

mode as described in these operating instructions.

· Unplug the connecting hose from the connecting unit to

the humidifier and the applicator from the humidifier to the

patient.

· Wipe the surfaces of the humidifier unit as well as the

connecting unit with a lint-free cloth moistened with cleaning

solvent.

· Open the humidifier chamber by taking off the housing lid

and removing the humidifier cover as well as the reservoir.

Remove the water from the reservoir.

· Pre-clean the humidifier cover, the reservoir and the

separator panels under running water, immerse them in

a water bath containing bio-degradable cleaning solvent

and wipe with a soft cloth moistened in cleaning solvent.
