4.5 Setting the prescribed air flow
- The air flow meter on the connection unit
may only be operated in an upright vertical
position (see Chapter 4.1 Assembling and
setting up the TNI
®
device).
- Before you fasten the applicator to the
patient, first set the prescribed air flow at
the setting valve of the connection unit.
Check the air flow value at regular inter
-
vals.
IMPORTANT!
- Check before opening the setting valve whether the float is on
the floor of the metering tube.
- Set the desired air flow at the air flow meter by turning the knob
at the setting valve as follows:
increase air flow:
turn knob counterclockwise
decrease air flow:
turn knob clockwise
- The current air flow value is determined by the float (ball) in a
metering tube.
Read the value on the upper edge of the float.
