Chapter 9 AMTOR Operation

TAB. At the moment, this protocol is used only on links between mailboxes forwarding messages. It could be used
with the AEA AMTOR-to-Packet Gateway if all users had CODE 8. (CODE 8 isn’t invisible to other users.)

CWID

command lets you change the “send CWID” control character typed at the end of your Baudot and

ASCII RTTY dialogue.

When the DSP reads this character embedded in the text or keyboard input, it switches modes and sends your
callsign in Morse code, at the keying speed set by

MSPEED

. As soon as your callsign has been sent in Morse, the

DSP turns off your transmitter and returns to receive.
