Three way catalytic
converter (TWC)
Three-way catalytic converter is the
emission control facility installed
on the emission system, and it is
used to reduce the pollutants in
exhausted gases.
Warning
● While engine is running,
people and inflammable articles
should keep away from the
vent-pipe, because the emitted
gas is very hot.
● Do not drive, idly run, or park
the automobile on flammable
articles (like grass, leaves, paper,
or rag).
Notice
Lots of unburned gases’ flow
into
three-way
catalytic
converter
may
lead
to
overheating or fire disaster, thus
you should adopt the following
countermeasures:
Only use lead-free gasoline
Do not use low-quality fuel,
because unqualified fuel may
result in engine start failure, as
well as add additional burden to
three-way catalytic converter.
Do not put the vehicle into idle
run for over 20 minutes.
Do not drive at excessive
speed.
Do not start the automobile by
pushing or pulling ways.
Do not shut off the ignition
switch while automobile is
running.
To assure that the engine is
running according to normal
command. Troubles in engine’s
electrical
control
system,
ignition system or fuel system
may result in the overheating of
three-way catalytic converter.
