This product requires qualified and individual adaptati-
on to the patient by specialist staff.
Purpose
Reversa Vario
PRO
MASTER is a lumbar spine
stabilising orthosis with traction system and
pad.
Reversa Vario Plus
PRO
MASTER is a back
orthosis that supports the lumbar spine with
a delordosing effect for partial pressure relief.
The orthoses may only be used for lumbar
spine treatment.
Mode of action
The
Reversa Vario/Vario Plus
PRO
MASTER
lumbar belt compresses the abdomen,
which encourages chest breathing. The body
becomes more erect and there is a favourable
shift in the body‘s centre of the gravity. Strain is
taken off the back musculature and the ilio-
sacral joints, the sacrum and the transition
to the lumbar spine are stabilised. The stabili-
sing and pain-relieving effect of the orthosis is
effectively supported when using a pad (
Rever-
sa Vario
PRO
MASTER only). The position of the
pad can be adjusted to individual body shapes
with the aid of a velcro strip.
Indications
Weakness in the trunk musculature (static
muscular insufficiency), wear and tear in bones
and cartilage (osteochondrosis), degenerative
changes to the vertebrae (spondylosis),
general back pain (lumbago), degenerative
changes in the small vertebral joints (spondyl-
arthrosis), structural disorders at the transition
of the lumbar spine to the sacrum (lumbo-
sacral transition), vertebral displacement (spon-
dylolisthesis).
Contraindications
Skin wounds or diseases covering large areas,
extensive haematomas and strong swelling.
Side effects
No side effects are as yet known for correct use.
Putting on the orthosis
1. First open only the outer supporting straps.
Fix these straps on the small velcro bands on
the left and right.
2. Open the orthosis completely and lay it out in
front of you with the inside facing you.
3. If using a pad position it on the velcro strip in
the middle of the orthosis.
4. Place the orthosis around the body.
Slip your hands/fingers into the fastening
pockets and close the orthosis by over-
laying the two sides of the velcroEn-
sure that the slight tension is evenly
distributed and that the pad is seated centrally
in the back.
5. Now tighten the outer straps. To do this,
loosen these from the small velcro bands and
position the velcro areas on the velcro tongues
such that you can feel the tension, but it is not
unpleasant. If using a pad check now to en-
sure it is attached at the right height. Sit down
on a solid surface. If the pad rises or if its
position is too high, then adjust its location in
the orthosis. The orthosis can be worn directly
against the skin or over tight-fitting underwear.
Care instructions
Please always wash the orthosis separately
and do not soak. There may be a slight loss of
colour dye during the first wash of the orthosis.
Remove the pad before washing and fasten the
velcro systems. Do not use conditioner, as this
will cause the Comforto fabric to lose its capacity
to transport moisture to the outside. „Reshape“
the orthosis after washing and dry immediately.
