4. Holding the pyrolyzer tube in place, apply the Kaowool insulation over
the top of the insulation.

5. Holding the insulation and pyrolyzer tube, gently attach the housing lid
against the insulation, allowing both ends of the tube to come out of
the lid approximately 1/2”. Attach one of the graphite ferrules and one
of the fittings removed earlier to each of the pyrolyzer tube ends.

6. Gently slide the lid back into the housing and secure it using the screws
and washers removed earlier.
7. With an air gun placed at the end of one fitting, blow out any dust or
debris that may have dropped inside the pyrolyzer quartz or glass tube
( Figure 8-14 ).
8. Follow steps 22 through 27 in the previous section, Replacing the
Pyrolyzer Heater , to re-install the housing and complete this procedure.
