INSTALLATION

Multiple Heat pump Installations

Aqua Coolers heat pump can be installed in multiple installations for redundancy or to allow
scaling

– up to 8 heat pumps can be installed together.

If  the master  heat  pump  loses  power,  develops  a  fault  or  the  control wire  between  the  heat
pumps  is  interrupted  then  all  other  heat  pumps  will  keep  operating  on  their  internal
temperature controls.

If  one  of  the  slave  heat  pumps  loses  power  or  develops  a  fault  then  the  master  will  move
along the line and turn the next one on.

One of the  heat pumps will have to be designated the master and the other heat  pumps will
need  to  be  designated  the  slaves.  This  can  be  done  in  the  programming.  On  the  controller
use the up and down keys to scroll to the PARAMETERS MENU and press OK

– scroll to the

SYSTEM sub menu and scroll to MASTER/SLAVE option. The heat pump will be supplied as
MASTER being the default so any other heat pumps will need to be programmed to be the
slaves.

The wiring diagram will show how the units will need  to be wired together and the electrical
box  will  have  marked  terminals.  The  unit  will  be  supplied  with  5  metres  of  3  core  shielded
cable. It is important that this cable is used to wire  the units together and it is important that
the unit is wired together as shown above with the wire from the terminals matching up.
