OPERATION
Using the key pad controller
All the setting can be viewed and all the operational parameters can be set from the
controller inside the electrical box using the key pad on the front of the controller.
There are four buttons
– ▲▼ X and OK – they scroll up and down through the menu items
and the OK button is used for selecting the item. Pressing the escape button
– X – will revert
back to the home screen.
Operational parameters that are displayed on the front page of the controller are listed under
these menus
VIEW INFO
– Under this menu is
-
IP address of the machine
-
Current time
-
Total CH/HT pumps
– this will give the number of slave heat pumps the system can
detect is installed
-
Software version
VIEW TEMPS
-
HTW supply
– this is the hot water temperature going through the machine
-
HT TANK TEMP
– this is the temperature of the water in the storage tank and the
master controller temperature
-
CCT1 DISCHARGE TEMP
– circuit 1 discharge temperature – on a two compressor
unit discharge temperatures and not pressures are monitored
-
CCT2 DISCHARGE TEMP
– circuit 2 discharge temperature
VIEW PRESSURES
-
CCT 1 SUCTION PRESSURE
– circuit 1 suction pressure
-
CCT2 SUCTION PRESSURE
– circuit 2 suction pressure – on a heat pump with 1
compressor the discharge pressure will show here also
VIEW ON TIMES
-
This will give the run times on the compressor
VIEW HT LOAD
-
If the unit is supplied with a flow meter
– typically on units designed to operate above
60C
– then the software will be doing heat load calculations.
-
Any faults are indicated on the face of the control panel.
It is a good idea after the unit has been running for 5 minutes check that the water
temperature is rising and check there are no bubbles in the sight glass
– if these two things
are happening then the unit is running properly. Give the system a final check to ensure that
there are no water leaks. An amp meter can also be run over the wires into the contactors to
ensure that the compressor and the pump are drawing the right amount of amps according to
the technical data.
Replace the front panel and the display on the front of the unit will show storage or heat pump
water temperature.
Once the unit has been connected to the internet using the procedure outlined above then the
webpage can be monitored.
