INSTALLATION

Temperature Sensing

Water temperature probes

The unit will be supplied with a 20 meter water temperature probe.

The  heat  pump  will  be  supplied with  a  20m  temperature  probe  that  is  designed  to  measure
the temperature in the central storage tanks and this is a part of the installation process. If this
temperature probe is not installed properly the water temperature in the tank may not reach
the  set  point.  This  probe  is  used  by  the  software  in  the  controller  for  the  main  temperature
sensing and the operation of the unit relies on  this probe. The temperature displayed on the
screen of the controller is the storage tank temperature

The temperature displayed  on the red screen  display  on the exterior  of the unit is  the return
water temperature from the storage tank

The swimming pool heat pumps are not supplied with the same heat sensor

– the swimming

pool heat pumps main temperature sensor is installed in the return water line so unlike the
normal units the unit does not need the sensor installed remotely. The normal 20m
temperature probe will not be supplied with the unit

– the unit can be plumbed in an will run as

a self-contained unit.

Installation of the Water Path

Before connecting the make-up water, check the suction pressure on in the heat pump
is above 200kPa. A refrigeration mechanic can do this with gauges.

By removing the front panel access point can be seen under on the suction line under
the electrical box. Connect the low pressure side gauge to one of the Schrader valves
and test the pressure in the system.
