3.08 Attaching the Gun and Cable Assembly to the Power Source
The Fab r icato r 210 is supplied with a Tweco Weldskill 250 AMP gas-cooled gun. The Weldskill gun is designed with
an e r gonomic handle and fewe r pa r ts to cause pe r fo r mance p r oblems. The Weldskill gun uses standa r d r eadily avail-
able Tweco Weldskill consumable pa r ts.
1. Open the doo r panel to the machine by inse r ting you r left and r ight index finge r s into the two r elease mecha-
nisms ma r ked with hand a rr ows in Figu r e 3-4. Slide them towa r d each othe r and pull the cove r outwa r d and
up to open.

2. Route the gun cable th r ough the access hole in the f r ont panel. Refe r to Figu r es 3-5 and -3-6.
3. Loosen the thumbsc r ew and inse r t the gun cable end as fa r as it will go. Tighten thumbsc r ew. Refe r to Figu r e
3-6.
4. Align the keyways of the Gun Switch connecto r with the r eceptacle below the gun cable and plug them to-
gethe r . Secu r e by tu r ning the locking r ing to the r ight (clockwise ). Refe r to Figu r e 3-6.
NOTE
When disconnecting gun switch leads f r om the machine, loosen the locking r ing and g r ab the connecto r s
and pull. Do not pull on the wi r es.
5. To r emove the gun, r eve r se these di r ections.
