6.2.7. THE BOILER STOPPAGE
1. An automatic stoppage of the boiler functioning is the result of the cut in the fuel supply to the boiler or as a result of the
electric failure for the period longer than 4 hours. In such cases the steering of the boiler switches off automatically.
During summer break, the boiler needs to be cleaned and all doors opened. Emptying the water from the system
for the summer break is inadmissible.
2. Stopping the central heating boiler in an emergency requires switching off the steering and removing the slag from
the retort burner and opening all doors of the boiler.
During the break in the heating period you should not lose the water from the boiler or the
system.
6.3. BOILER CLEANING
In order to ensure highest efficiency, it is necessary to keep the combustion chamber as well as convection channels
clean. The kinds of fuel that are used to operate the boiler (coal, pellet) create during combustion different kinds of
tar substances. Clearing is a necessity which helps to maintain the boiler in good working order and ensures proper
burning.
Before cleaning it is necessary to disconnect the boiler from the source of electicity.
In the furnace chamber it is essential to remove ash and soot from the walls.
Cleaning of the exchanger should be done via the upper door, and their build-ups should be removed through a lower
washout hole which can be fund on the side of the boiler. (look at the boiler construction scheme)
During cleaning of the exchanger, it is necessary to pay special attention to the cleanliness of the exhaust channel outlet
into the chimney. Thorough cleaning of the boiler should be performed every 30 to 60 days depending on the fuel quality
and the degree of contamination of the boiler surface. After cleaning it is necessary to close the washout hole openings
In the case of a boiler with the power up to 19 kW the cleaning of the boiler begins with the removal of the shield cover
/shown in the drawing as the upper door/ then the convection canals should be cleaned.
The other cleaning activities are identical to those in other models. In the case of using the fuel of the worse quality the
cleaning should take place more often.
6.4. SAFE USAGE CONDITIONS
6.4.1. IN ORDER TO USE THE BOILER SAFELY CERTAIN RULES MUST BE FOLLOWED:
- the boiler should be serviced by adults only, and before use it is essential to study the manual for the boiler carefully.
- children should be kept away from the boiler
- do not In any condition, put your hand in the tank-basket as it may cause disability.
- the boiler and its system should be kept In good working condition, and special care should be taken with the
leakproofness of the central heating system, the door and the basket.
- The boiler room should be kept in order and any items not connected with the functioning and the maintenance of the
boiler should be disposed of.
- during winter there should be no breaks in the boiler functioning as this may cause the water in the system or its part
to freeze.
