5.2. BOILER 

POSITIONING

The boiler does not require foundation.
The boiler should be placed so that there is access to it from the front and the side, which is necessary for proper boiler 
servicing and cleaning. The boiler has to be well levelled (with the screw in the leg of the feeder) which guarantees 
proper functioning of the feeding system.  

In the case of disconnecting  the boiler from the feeder system in order to carry it into the boiler 
room or exchange side it is absolutely necessary to remember during the re-assembly of these 
elements that  the cast iron crown of the feeder has to be accurately sealed.

5.3. 

BOILER AND CHIMNEY CONNECTION

Connecting the boiler to the chimney stack should follow a straight line course. The boiler assembly means placing the 
boiler where planned. The chimney stack should be free from other connections with heating objects.

In the case of installing a smoke conduit which is not straight, all arches should be made in a gentle manner.

 

Bending the smoke conduit at a right angle is not allowed. The flue terminal should go slightly up. The place of joining 
the smoke conduit with the chimney must be accurately sealed. A cleaning hole should be made In the extention of the 
smoke conduit. 

Boiler and chimney connection scheme

Before connecting the boiler to the chimney it is necessary to check with the chimney section 
and chimney draught are sufficient and the chimney is free from other connections of heating 
objects. Suitable chimney section and chimney draught have an important impact on proper boiler 
functioning.

In order to avoid the formation of the reverse thrust in the chimney stack, its height should exceed the roof ridge by not 
less than 1,0 m.  
The technical condition of the chimney to which the boiler is to be connected should be evaluated and approved / in a 
written form/ by a chimney service establishment.This document should be stored together with the boiler warranty.
