TO CHECK AND ADJUST DRAG SHOE

CABLES

1. Check to make sure that the Main Brush

Stops are adjusted before checking the Drag

Shoe Stops. See

TO ADJUST MAIN

BRUSH ARM STOPS.

2. Park the machine on level ground and set

the machine parking brake. Raise the

conveyor and sweeping brushes to the

stored position, then shut the machine off.

FOR SAFETY: Before leaving or

servicing machine, stop on level

surface, and set parking brake.

3. Press down on the rear part of the drag

shoe and rotate it down as far as it will

travel. Then check the clearance between

the top of the drag shoe and the bottom of

the main brush arm. It should be about 25

mm (1 in).

4. Adjust the cable by loosening the drag shoe

cable jam nut, then turn the turnbuckle until

proper clearance is achieved. Then tighten

the jam nut to secure the cable. Repeat on

the other side.
