MAIN BRUSH AND DRAG SHOE CABLE AND
ARM STOPS
There are two stops on each side of the machine,
one for the main brush arm and the other for the
drag shoe arm. These stops are set at the factory
so that there is about 3 to 5 mm (1/8 to 3/16 in) of
compression. The stops eliminate possible
bouncing of the arms which can cause cables to
fatigue. Cable stretch may cause the stops to
need readjusting.
Check the stop cables for tension, wear, and
adjustment after every 40 hours of operation.
TO CHECK MAIN BRUSH ARM STOPS
1. Park the machine on level ground and set
the machine parking brake. Raise the
conveyor and sweeping brushes to the
stored position, then shut the machine off.
FOR SAFETY: Before leaving or
servicing machine, stop on level
surface, and set parking brake.
2. Pull firmly on the brush arm cables (outer
cable) in a perpendicular direction. The
cables should feel taught and the brush
arms should not raise. Repeat for each
brush arm cable on both sides of the
machine.
