Suction mouth
Larger pieces of rubbish or large amounts of leaves can be sucked in through the front of the
suction mouth which can be opened by means of the joystick (fig. 21, no. 4).
Keep in mind that the suction power is reduced when the mouth is open.
If the suction mouth is blocked (by twigs, for example), it can be unblocked by switching off
the fan (fig. 6, no. 10), drawing the suction mouth upwards (fig. 6, no. 14) and reversing a
small distance to check that the blockage has been removed.
Brush speed
The brush speed must be adapted to the sweeping conditions, such as: the type of litter, the
surface, the brush wear and the driving speed.
When the brush speed has to be adjusted, the vehicle must first be brought to a
halt. This must be done in order to keep track of the traffic situation.
The brush speed can be regulated by means of the turning knob on the middle dashboard (fig.
6, no. 3).The brush speed can be turned down to 0. Select an appropriate brush speed, but
not
too high.
High brush speeds lead to increased brush wear and can cause objects, like
small stones, to be flung away.
Water pressure
The water circuit is set to a fixed pressure. Under normal conditions low pressure is sufficient
to keep the suction mouth clean and prevent accumulation of dust.
Sprayers
The sprayer bar must be activated in dry conditions to prevent dust from
developing (fig. 6, no. 6).
Cloud maker
The cloud maker can be activated (fig. 6, no 26) for an improved dust
..
control around
the suction mouth.
Excessive use of water should be avoided during sweeping!
The amount of water in the vehicle is limited.
Inspection hatch
There is an inspection hatch on the right hand side of the dirt hopper. These hatches can be
opened to put pieces of refuse that are too big for the suction mouth (for instance branches)
into the dirt hopper. It is recommended to switch the suction fan off before opening these
hatches (fig. 6, no. 9).
