Joystick operation
(fig. 6, no. 4 - 6)
The joysticks on the central dashboard operate the suction mouth flap and the sweeping unit.
The middle joystick (fig. 21, no. 4) operates the suction mouth
flap:
•
pull backwards: suction mouth flap opens.
•
press forwards: suction mouth flap closes.
The left-hand joystick (fig. 21, no. 5) operates the left-hand
brush:
•
press to the left: brush moves left.
•
press to the right: brush moves right.
The right-hand joystick (fig. 21, no. 6) operates the right-hand
brush:
•
press to the left: brush moves left.
•
press to the right: brush moves right.

Joystick operation of the 3
rd
brush (optional)

This joystick operates the third brush. The third brush has two swivel points, each with a
separate swivel motor. The position of the joystick determines the rotation of the swivel
motors in the horizontal plane. Which of the two swivel motors is operated, depends on the
direction in which the joystick is moved:
•
to the left: turns the first brush arm anti-clockwise.
•
to the right: turns the first brush arm clockwise.
•
to the front turns the second brush arm anti-clockwise.
•
to the back: turns the second brush arm clockwise.
•
diagonally: both swivels will turn simultaneously,
making the third extremely flexible.
The joystick also has three function switches:

Lower/raise 3
rd
brush
Good control of the third brush can only be realized through thorough training.
Inexpert operation could cause damage to the vehicle and/or the third brush
system and give rise to hazardous situations.
