To enable the upgrade, you will need to order a bandwidth upgrade product. 1 GHz upgrades require you to send your
instrument to a Tektronix Service Center. All others can be performed in the
fi eld by the customer.
You will need to supply the model number and serial number when placing your order. To determine the serial number of
your instrument, push
Utility , and then push About . The serial number is located on the resulting screen.
To upgrade bandwidth by installing an option key on your instrument,
1. Once you have placed an order for the
appropriate bandwidth upgrade product, you
should receive an
Option Key Certi fi cate.
with the option key number.
2. Push Utility .
3. On the lower menu, push Utility Page and
select Con fi g .
