14. TROUBLE SHOOTING
1. <SYSTEM DOWN!!> is displayed at boot-up of the system.

If the following screen is displayed after the initial screen is displayed, turn off the power switch
once to restart the system.
2. <Notify Communication port failed to open. Please close all browsers to
terminate residual Applets and re-open the browser. The browser will be closed
now.> is displayed when connecting by using the browser.
The DS system uses a special port number to communicate the status with the browser. The
message will be displayed if connecting multiple PC clients or refleshing the browser screen
exceeds the pre-secured communication ports.
Reduce the numbers of the PC clients connected or close and re-open the browser.
A connectable number of the PC clients will be varied depending on the port usages of the DS
system.
Within 10 units of the client PC is suggested.
20 units is a theoretical number, however; the more connection the more busy traffics affects to
the response of the network operation of the DS system.
Use <Java Port (notify): Port Number/Java Connection (DS): Client number to DS> of the
browser applet window <C> for traffic estimation.
3. <Failed to Read Cookie! Cookie usage is disabled or reached the cookie limit.> is
displayed when trying to display the waveform by using the browser.
The DS system uses the cookie to save three sets of the waveform display settings at the client
PC. Old cookies that exceed the limit number are deleted by accordance with RFC2109. The
message may be appeared when the coolies to use for the waveform display settings are deleted
by other cookies to browse the Internet services. In such case, save the waveform display
settings again.
You cannot save the display settings if you set your browser option not to accept cookie.
4. When opening “ds2.html”, the page does not appear or it shows “If you see this
text, your browser does not support the OBJECT tag” in the browser.
The Active-X is automatically downloaded and executed when “ds2.html” page is accessed.
However in few cases the OS internal security setting prohibits the Active-X to execute. Register
the IP address of the connecting DS in the Internet Explorer. Select from menu “Tool” ->
“Internet Option” -> “Security” -> “Trusted Site”, and press the “Site” button. Then add the IP
address in the “Web Site” list.
Confirm that the “Active-X Controls” is enabled in the “Custom Level…” setting.
Enter the IP address of the DS following
“http://”, and press press the “Add” button.
