Notes on Operation

Before connectiing to DS from the browser, select the recording device to “HDD”.
・
Note that the data file cannot be restored once it is deleted.
・
The data transferring operation is performed only on one folder at a time. Repeat the process if
you want to operate on multiple folders.
・
Keep the original file name and the header file content in the source PC, or DS may not function
normally.
・
An exception is a use of the optional software “LX-View”. It is capable of extracting a portion of
the data or channels out of original data file to create a second file. If such a file follows the
file naming rule found in section 7.7 of this manual, “Data File Format” section, and the DS
supporting channel number, they can be played-back after transferred back to DS. (Due to
the LX-View specification, the maximum file size is 2GB. Contact us for more detail)

If the same file name exists in the DS, the file cannot be transferred.

When the file deletion and transfer is performed, a fragmentation occurs in the DS hard disk,
and the data rate in recording and playing back is reduced. If such speed reduction is
observed, format the DS hard disk after saving important data files.

When the data is transferred to the DS unit from the PC, the data in the PC remains without
being lost.
・
Do not operate the main control page (ds.html) and the special feature page (ds2.html) from
multiple browsers. If both pages are open, the connection may be lost during operation.

Open the browser in the PC and enter “http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/ds2.html” (‘xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx’ is the
IP address of DS) in the Web address box

The following window appears.
Enter the IP address of the DS recorder in the [IP Address : ] entry, and press “Connect”.
Enter the IP address of the DS
Press “Connect” after the IP address entry.
