7.5 Format
Each recording start and stop creates a data file in the case of the recording to the internal hard
disk drive. When the hard disk is full, the system automatically stops recording. In order to
record a new file, execute the format to delete the recorded data files.
You can select a format option from either one of [QUICK], [NORMAL], or [PURGE].
CAUTION
Executing format will erase all data files recorded on the hard disk drive.
1.
Confirm that the system is in ready state (<READY> display).
(If the system is not in ready state, press the STOP key a few times depending on the hierarchy
of the current menu to move to ready state.)
2.
Press the ENTER key to display the main menu <MENU>. (Below example is for the
recording only unit.)
3.
Move the cursor to [SYSTEM] by pressing the down key.
4.
Press the ENTER key to go to the <SYSTEM> menu.
5.
Move the cursor to [HDD FORMAT] by pressing the down keys.
6.
Press the ENTER key to go to <HDD FORMAT>. Move the cursor to either one of [QUICK],
[NORMAL], or [PURGE], then press the ENTER key.
