5.3.3.2 Bin Information
Select the "

" from
the main menu using the up and down-
arrow keys (or simply press the corre-
sponding short-cut key).
Select the desired bin using the up and
down-arrow keys. Press the right-ar-
row key twice to access to the
selected bin's information menu. The
following pieces of information are dis-
played (use the down-arrow key to
scroll the display):
Required
:
Amount of feed required today coming from the se-
lected bin.
Remaining
:
Amount of feed remaining in the selected bin.
Today
:
Amount of feed delivered today in the selected bin.
Add Feed:
Amount of feed added to the bin. This value auto-
matically returns to zero after a 10 second delay as
explained in the previous section.
Overfill:
Weight of the leftovers that fall into the scale after
the bin auger motor stops.
Accessible from the installer mode only (s. 5.8.1).

Stability tolerance:
The weight reading may sometimes be
unstable since the scale slightly moves
after having being filled or due of ex-
ternal vibration sources. The stability tol-
erance is the acceptable variation in the
weight reading before the feed can be
dumped in the receiving hopper. It can be adjusted from 1 to 1000
grams. It is NOT recommended to change this value unless weighing
errors that are caused by wind or other vibration source occur. In
this case, the stability tolerance can be increased to 150-175 grams.
The default stability tolerance value is set to 100 grams.
Empty Tolerance:
Vibrations produced by the output auger can cause variations in the
weight reading of the scale (when a scale without valve is in use).
Consequently, the weight reading of an empty scale is likely to differ
from 0kg. The controller uses the Empty Tolerance parameter value
to know when the scale is empty: it is considered as being empty
when its weight is of 0kg +/- Empty Tolerance. The Empty Tolerance
can be adjusted from 0 to 5,000g. Note also that this parameter is
not used if the scale has a valve; in this case, do not modify it!
Valve (Manual Control):
This function allows opening and closing manu-
ally the valve of each scale in the case where
no manual control switch is located on your
PSFS-1 module.
*
Accessible if a scale with valve is enabled.
Auto:
the controller controls the scale valve.
Open / Close:
You can manually open or close the scale valve.
Feeding cycles are bypassed while the valve is controlled manually.
Empty time:
Set the delay that is required to empty scale. A weighing
alarm is set off if the scale is not empty after this delay has elapsed.
If you are using a scale without valve, make sure the empty time is
high enough to allow the full evacuation of all feed contained in the
receiving hopper.
