Earth Fault Indication
An earth fault indication occurs on the Taktis Fire Control Panel when a minimum of 30K Ohms exists between
earth-ground and either DC RTN or +24 VDC of the power-supply.
System Power
Standby and alarm conditions of the fire control panel are expressed in volt-amperes VA at the primary of the
power supply. Secondary standby and alarm currents of the power supply are determined under no load
conditions and occur during AC power failure at the primary. The resulting no-load current draw from the
5.25 Amp or 10.25 Amp Power Supply occurs from standby-battery operation on the secondary.
All loads of the fire control panel exclude external loads except End Of Line (EOL) devices. “Primary” loads of
the fire control panel assume a fully charged battery. Alarm currents are dependent on the number of active
zones and the number of zones in the extinguishant-state.
Standby and Alarm Current
Standby and Alarm Currents are provided below for 115 VAC and 230 VAC models of the 5.25 A and 10.25 A
Power Supply. The data includes current of the fire alarm control panel in 2 and 4 loop conditions.
Two loop operation includes System Board A Module, System Board B Module and the Dual Loop Module.
Two loop operation represent the minimum board configuration of the Taktis Fire Control Panel.
Four loop operation includes the System Board A Module, System Board B Module and two
Dual Loop Modules.
5.25 A, 115 VAC Power Supply

2 244 mA @ 115 VAC 272 mA @ 115 VAC Line current for standby and alarm when battery
current is less than 30 mA.
560 mA @ 24 VDC 650 mA @ 24 VDC Battery current for standby and alarm when power
failure condition occurs on the AC line.
4 274 mA @ 115 VAC 302 mA @ 115 VAC Line current for standby and alarm when battery
current is less than 30 mA.
680 mA @ 24 VDC 760 mA @ 24 VDC Battery current for standby and alarm when power
failure condition occurs on the AC line.
