displays the Coral IPx 500 architecture. The dual-bus architecture of the
Coral IPx 500 backplane incorporates a 512 Timeslot matrix within the MSBipx. This
high speed, high capacity switching matrix can support heavy traffic loads. The dual
PCM and dual HDLC busses are extended from the main to the expansion cage.

Architecture
The main cage has several buses for data and digitized voice. Each bus type is
duplicated using the same dual-bus LAN architecture pioneered by the manufacturer
with the larger Coral chassis. This technology is one of the Coral IPx 500 inner
